First Glance Draft Class Evaluation
The release of the draft class is ALWAYS met with a FRENZY of excitement. This season has the level of excitement ramped up knowing there’s some MAJOR changes in the GGL… compared to most GMs experience come draft time – fictional players/names, the skew is on STERIODS [-/+ 5 bolded attributes and -/+ 10 non-bolded attributes] and Private Workouts reveal TRUE attributes.
I see 3 possible 1st round picks from the QB position…
QB Jamal Castille – Knowledge of the game [AWR = 70] and ability to place the ball on a dime [THA = 87] has this Miami Hurricane Alumni being selected EARLY [probably 2nd overall to the New York Giants]! Some will be scared off by Castille’s petite frame [HT 6’0” / WT 191] and perceived lack of arm strength [THP = 85] – but that should be fine over time [7 TC visits available].
QB Hunter Leo – Rumor has it… the kid out of Ole Miss is being selected 1st overall by the Los Angeles Rams – a SOLID selection no doubt. Respectable field vision [AWR = 66], strong arm [THP = 91] and able to place the ball where it needs to be [THA = 93] ensure he’ll be a Franchise QB in short time – though Hunter Leo has a build more desirable [HT = 6’2” / WT = 215], he has shown some injury concerns and has been described as a China Doll [INJ = 64]… another guy who has a longer grooming available [7 TC visits available].
QB Vonn Griggs – A little more work and patience will be required for the Longhorn product [likely going top half of the 1st round; Arizona, New Orleans or Pittsburg are strong possibilities]. He’s working on becoming a student of the game [AWR = 64] and has had some placement issues from time to time [THA = 85]. Might have the strongest arm in the 2025 Draft Class [THP = 96]! Not your ideal stature in the pocket [HT 6’1”] and he’s a little longer in the tooth [age = 23] but could be a solid investment if groomed properly [6 TC visits available].
