I might’ve been distracted late in the draft so if someone doesn’t make it, make your own list.
1.4 CB Ricky Hartman, Carolina Panthers
I inquired about the cost of moving up, but I also didn’t think Hartman would be taken here. Where’s the love for Bryce Young? I blame this on the person who wrote an article praising him. He sabotaged my chances. He knew what he was doing. Just do me a favor and continue to get the best of those cheeseheads in trades, please.
1.8 - OT Oscar Lopez, Cincinnati Bengals
The contrast between his ceiling compared to other offensive lineman in the draft, placed against the fact the league is lacking in suitable ones has probably helped this one make the list. I think the 21-year old Lopez is going to be a standout. He’s a bit lanky but athletic and has a good starting point in PBK/RBK (87/91). I had the pick pegged in my mock draft too, but who’s keeping count right?
1.9 CB Mike Flinn, Detroit Lions
The pick wasn’t popular among the radio show crew, but I think they’re missing something. After rookie/sophomore progression, the hometown Michigan boy will have 96 SPD/91 AGI/ 93 ACC at 24. He could potentially be at 97/92/94 if placed in training camp for one eligible year. You don’t want that at 6’2”? JMP is overrated. OR..did I pick this just to say I was right?
1.11 MLB Austin Applewhite, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When I saw the Bucs move up, he was on a very short list of players I think were the targets. Applewhite has great acceleration (93), and very advanced tackling technique(8

. He’ll be ready for business in a starting role, after Lavonte David retires. He’ll be 1A in little time.
