2024 miami dolphins review |
when gardiner came around to picking his team at outset of inaugral GGL season, having competent quarterback play was at forefront of his thinking.with a few other studs dotted around the roster south beach was the place to be .
we decided to approach season 1 as a pass orientated team to take advantage of our QB and receivers,so we arranged few trades to clear cap and bring in draft picks and players that can contribute.we moved mostert to giants as we had achane and wright as solid performers behind him.our starting DTS were brought in from falcons and jets.but arguably out best bit of 2024 business was selected LE okwara from free agency this was extremely good fortune as he outplayed his expectations and recorded 15 sacks.
we finsihed 2024 season with a 12-4 record and ended with a disappointing loss in conference championship to eventual winners san diego, its believed ownership are happy with gardiners performance and extended his contract.
entering the offseason we positioned ourselves into having 10 picks within the top 100 and with AP having to be used we went to town on workouts,we did manage to find a few gems with our picks but also missed on a few of our late round flyers.
i think 6 of our draft class will see gametime with SS manhertz,CB stevens,RE babineaux,WR beach,RG payne,ROLB maggitt which means RT bloom,SS lotulelei,LT westbrooks,QB bazely which back up and only get action in emergencies.
in 2025 free agency we managed to acquire few veteran pieces that improve us with SS adams signing which blew away our double rookie strategy as they will now feed off scraps at adams table, cooper and chalk were added to receiving core behind stud waddle and promising youngster terrelle "south"beach.
we enter this season with alot of so called experts predicting success so anything other than post season action would be viewed as a failure.it wasnt all good vibes as perenial distraction tyreek hill forced through a move to titans gardiner was glad to see the back of his attitude and salary but hoping we can still stay productive |
